Kyosho optima parts?
#1

Hey,
i have just wiped the dust of my Kyosho Optima 2wd electric car which i was using alot many years ago. I have found out that this car i pretty rare this days and has potential value, so i thought i could give it a little shine up
I dont know much about this car at all, so i could need some info on where to find parts for this... is there to find anymore? It would be cool to make this a 4wd, but cant find much on the web. But i know thats possible. Also need a new body for it.
What parts do i need to get 4wd? is this a chain or belt drive?
where to find parts?
The car could also be for sale after i have fixed it up a little, so PM me if you are interested. SERIOUS bids!!!
Some info about it:
Stock reciever from futaba
Brand new ESC from quake (no limit)
stock engine (runs GOOOD) dont know how many turns, does not say on the motor
I cant put in some pics because im not allowed to do that yet

the optima should already be 4wd. you might be missing the chain athough some cars were converted to belt. ebay is best for parts, you just have to keep your eyes peeled and be patient. i have been collecting and restoring old kyoshos for about 6 years. depending on condition, i have seen out-of-box optimas fetch anywhere from 100 to 300 bucks. good luck with your restore!

You probably have a kyosho ultima. That was the 2wd counterpart to the optima which came as a 4wd.

A great place for Vintage RC is the TamiyaClub website.

Try to find out the exact model of your kyosho among the user images (you can refine the search using "Optima" or "Ultima") here:

For the parts you can see on eBay or also on the trade section of the TamiyaClub website:

Good Luck !!
