I have a minor problem with my packs fitting, I had them assembled by promatch and they soldered the deans wires directly to the cells. The positive wire lies in the back area of the chassi with the high wall and the wire wont fit in between. Do you think if I brought it to the LIR they'd solder a bent battery bar onto it for me? How much do you think they'd charge? I like to do all the soldering myself, but Im not that good at it and dont want to take the chance of ruining my cells.

Scottbaer- I believe Winter Heat is going to be around the beginning of Febuary, possible the second weekend in Feb. I will not be attending Motorama this year, I have to many races i'll be attending around that date, hopefully next year, that race is a ton of fun.

AE Racer- What batterys are you useing? The 3300 are a little bigger and are tighter going in. LIR will put bars on the ends, not sure what they will charge you. The batterys will probally fit better to with the bars on it.

Yea gp3300s. I know they'll fit with the battery bars on the ends. I called up and Rob (I think it was him) said they could do it, he didnt sound all that happy and he said thats what happens when you buy mail order. I would buy from them, but its too far to drive to make purchases and I cant afford SMC and Trinity batterys anyway. Do they even sell batterys?

Are the rear tires that come with the kit any good? I know a guy earlier in the thread said to get step pins, but the kit tires are a soft compound and look alot like the holeshots that I run on my gt.

AERacer, Not sure if J.S. is away on vacation so I'll TRY to answer your question the best I can.

most fast guys uses Taper Pin (Pink) for the rear @ LIR
2nd option ( might be easier for beginner) is Pro-line Holeshot LP.
you can come in and talk to Rob, Brian or Cassy, I'm sure they can help you pick up a tire that suit you.

Personally I would get both of them and try them and see which you like.

Oh, the Silver front that came with the kit will not work very well on this track. (it would make your car VERY easy to drive thou).

And yes, they do sell batteries.

pete68- You would have to replace the front & rear arms, front castors & spindles, rear hubs, rear pivot plate, basically the entire tranny(gear box, diff gear, outdrives, screw for the diff, idler gear), the new motor mount plate, and finally the gear cover................so much easyier to just buy the BK2 kit
