SC10 Vs. E-Slayer

I am converting a slayer to BL and wondering if it would be competitive with the new SC8e. So far my mods are a center diff, P-3 rockers, swaybars, and race tuned shocks. Just wondering what you guys thought?? I know i would blow the sc8e away on the straits with the big BL but what about the turns?

just the 4wd alone should give you a HUGE advantage.

yeah i wouldn't be racing in a class with them just like track practice with some friends.

Just curious what esc and motor you're going to run. The Slayer roller I ordered will be here today and I already have the Blue Groove e-conversion kit ready to go.

A friend just finished his and set it up with the Mamba Monster and 2600kv motor. He stopped by to show it to me the other day and all I can say is WOW! He's only running it with 11.1 and it's still dialed way down to keep it controllable. It generates so much torque that it starts to wheelie and actually torque twists into a roll sideways. I'm thinking a Mamba Max with a suitable motor would actually be better for real world use, like the track. I've been looking at the Medusa Afterburner V2 MR-036-050-3300V2-5.

Comparing these is like comparing apples and oranges. they are totally different vehicles. They would not run in the same class in any organized competition. Although with the same motor/battery combo the SC10 will be faster onthe straights. It is lighter and 2wd means there is a lot less drivetrain friction.

an electric slayer would be so much better!

"E-SLAYER" I love it...

There was a video on You Tube(it been removed for some reason) of a SC10 running against an RC8 at OCRC. The SC10 was giving the SC8 all it could handle. It took the lead several times as a matter of fact.

W/ the inherent high CG the Slayer is straddled with and depending on the track. I think the SC10 would hand you your butt.

That said, I think a brushless 4wd SC truck is just sick, To bad we can't get Traxxas to produce a factory version.

the comparison should be an e-slayer vs an SC8e.
the Sc10 should be compared against the slash

yeah your right i guess i should say a e-slayer vs the sc8e.

Qfactor I was going to get that same combo that your friend got except i already have a 4s. I would suggest to get close ratio tranny gears for more track use because you don't need all that top end really. I dont know much about the medusa motors but check this video out......
