Default Finally another stock tire choice for the Slash/SC10

JConcepts has released a version of the Goose Bumps the 2.2/3.2 stock Slash and SC10 wheel.

I'm to new to post a link, but the press release with pics is under the news section on the jconcepts home page.

Glad to see there is something for the stock wheels outside of the standard lugged tread patterns from AE and Traxxas.

I will agree. I cant blame jconcepts they are just making a better product but the whole appeal to slash is that its cheap if run box stock.

If you are running in a mod class then by all means to for the goosebumps. They should work well for a lot of tracks.

nice to see someone has come up with a tire option for the SCT Class that doesn't involve modifying eighth scale rims and tires

Heck the whole mod slash class at our track is already running 2.2 truck tires and rims front and rear so this is really a step in the right direction. I guess?!

corr truck racing= corr truck body and corr truck tires/wheels stock or mod class. anything else will kill the class, why? cause if pin style tires are allowed then it turns into tire choice of the day to the people with the fattest wallet. only slash or sc10 stock tires should be allowed in ANY corr truck class wether stock or modd.

When testing the JConcepts Goosebump tires, the group I found who were the happiest and benefited the most were the Novice and beginner RC Racers. At the time we were only using them on the Traxxas vehicle.

Everyone who tried them (beginner to accomplished racer) were really excited about the performance, but the Novice were the ones the happiest.

The test track was a loamy surface, so stock Slash and Proline Switch still lacked grip for people without good throttle control. You could often sense the frustration build as many new racers struggle with a 2wd vehicle on low grip dirt tracks.

Once I put the SCT Goosebumps on their trucks, they were able to control their vehicles, make laps, and really feel like they accomplished something.

Its made me seriously consider the added benefit this type of tire provides to new and unskilled racers. That being better control of a 2wd vehicle which in turn increases the likelyhood they will continue to participate in the sport.

Visually, the tires look true to the class during operation.

The 17 Truck has Goosebumps, the 21 Truck is running Traxxas Tires.

I think the tires will only make the class grow. They look to scale and how much do they cost over over the Pro-line or Stock SC10/Slash tires? This tire will give you more options to tune your car in.
