Default Brushless Slash set-up???

I am thinking about converting my Slash to a brushless set-up but still want to be in the stock class, I am getting an LRP Ai ESC and I am looking for a nice brushless to go in it, is 17.5 or a 15.5 the way to go to stay as close to the stock Traxxas motor as possible??

Most stock classes require stock everything. No brushless.

A 17.5 ROAR motor is pretty close and will at least keep you in the ROAR SCT class if you can't run in the spec Slash class.

we run slash at Trackside and most of the guys including myself (now) run brushless 10.5's in them. If they ran stock I wouldnt have changed a thing. If you are racing with it check to see what your track allows. I learned from first hand expierence that a out of the box slash has a slim chance of winning with a expierenced field of racers running a 10.5 - 13.5 slashes.

I guess it depends on how your driving is. You will be considerably slower then most of the slashes out there but if you run a clean race you will be just fine. Slash races tend to get messy anyhow so if you stay out of traffic anything can happen.
