On the 27mHz band the color is how the frequencies are coded, so yeah, you're both on 27.145. One of you is gonna hafta buy a crystal set

On 27mHz AM? Depends on the manufacturer, but generally around $7-10 a set.

Just make sure to buy a crystal set designed for your radio, and that you be careful with them. Crystals can be surprisingly fragile. The first crystal set I bought, I came home late in the afternoon and casually tossed them onto my workbench to try out tomorrow...turned out I broke 'em.

u may not have to buy a set.... generally you can switch the tx and rx crystals on one of the vehicles and run the two together.

standard

radio----- TX
Receiver---RX

INverted

radio-----RX
receiver--TX

try it.. it's free!
