Default New charger

i purchased a venom Pro charger...and i have a li-po 2s 5400 mah 7.4v 24 c

how many amps should i be charging it at....right now im charging my battery with 4.0A

also after each run when the battery dies should i discharge it?

set it at 5400 mah and 5.4 amp charge, if it doesent got to 54 then go to 5000 and 5 amps. get the idea

at 4 amps it will thake around 1hr1/2-1hr/45min

Do not discharge a lipo battery.

You can charge at any rate up to 5.4 amps; exceeding 1C is not recommend although many companies say it is possible.

why wouldnt you discharge the battery?

There is no need to, LiPo's have almost 0 memory, unlike NiMh's.
Plus they have a very low self-discharge rate.

How is that Venom charger? It seems a little pricey. I was also looking at the team orion advantage pro.

The venom charger is very good. It comes with every plug you can think of and it can balence charge. My only question about the charger is whats the difference between fast charge and normal charge?

the venom charger is good has alot of cables to charge your batteries but i cant tell you about the fast charge or normal i have a lipo battery and i balance them every time i charge them and it takes about 30-40 min
