Default next short course race truck?

was just thinking, seeing as how popular corr trucks have become lately.......

so who is going to come out with one next....LOSI,KYOSHO or HPI ....these guys already have the gearbox, rearends and frontends on the market in other kits.....just have to mold short arms.....KYOSHO already have the tires/wheels and body in there nitro 4wd version

maybe even TAMIYA will produce one as well out of the dt02 buggy...

im putting my money on LOSI,followed by KYOSHO...then ?

I think Losi will be the next one to come out with a SC truck.

Dont need shorter arms. The offset wheels is what narrows up the chassis and the bigger/wider body covers up the tires. The Associated SC10 is basically a lengthened T4 truck. All the arms are the same as on the T4.

All Losi would have to do to make a SCT would be to make the appropriate wheels, lengthen the XXXT chassis, make a correct body and bumpers, and I believe they have a gear diff already in the Speed-T or Desert Truck that they could use.

I see Horizon (Losi) jumping on the bandwagon next. Desert truck has a Gear diff, but I believe a ball diff can also be used per the rules.

I see a "race roller" () coming shortly....

Due to the recent successes, i would estimate that all the top manufactures will create a SCT of some sort. I would like to see what a HotBodies SCT would look like. There is no telling what the future holds.

Losi has my vote.

Let's hope they come to market w/ it faster than they did their copy of the Stampede.

Can anyone answer why they are all using gear diffs and not ball diffs?

I hope losi is next and I hope that it's essentially a stretched XXX-T CR.

If they make it, I will buy it.

Prolly to make them handle more "Scale".

My guess, though I would like to hear someone from AE's opinion on this, is that it comes down to the torque from running bigger wheels and tires. Balldiffs are definately the item on 1/10 buggy and on-road, but as the scale of the tires get bigger the more stress that's put on the diff. And simplification.
But I could be wrong

That doesn't make sense or me, or else we wouldn't see ball diffs in stadium trucks.
