Default 2 x IP3800 25C for Mamba Monster 2650 Setup

Hi Guys

I am setting up my first 1/8 4WD offroad buggy. Coming from the onroad scene I lack the knowledge in the electric offroad setups.

My setup is as follows:

Associated RC8 Electric
Mamba Monster ESC & 2650kv Neu Motor
2 x 2S IP3800 25C LIPO batteries

These are the questions I have:

1. Because I don't have any 4S battery backs yet, I want to use the on-road packs I have. They use the 4mm plug in connectors like for on-road setups. Will these connectors be able to handle 100amp draws?

2. How Do I hook up 2 x 2S packs to power my Mamba ESC & Motor?

3. Mamba Monster setups frequently hit 100amp draws.
Will 2 x 2S IP3800 25C packs be sufficient to power my ESC?
To calculate the amp draw do I do it the following way?

3800Mah = 3.8ah
3.8 x 25C = 95amps continuous current
95 x 80% = 76amps max continuous draw!

3800 x 2 = 7600 = 7.6ah
7.6 x 25C = 190amps
190 x 80% = 152 amps max continuous draw!

Any help is greatly appreciated for those of you that have done this before
Cheers, Kris

I think you would use the first method to calculate it.

Yes the first method is right. If you were to run at the 2s (7.4v) then you could double the amperage but you will be running at the 14.8v so the amperage will remain what the packs are rated at.
