Default Rustler xl-5 king pin

Does anyone know whether there is a heavier duty kingpin available for the rustler xl-5? They seem to get bent very easily.

No one makes a heavier kingpin. Except me.

What I did is take one of the screw pins for the rear inner A-Arm pivot and cut it to proper length to replace the stock kingpin. Then very carefully (very very carefully) ream out the hole for the existing kingpin in the carrier and steering knuckle until the larger screw pin fits. I first did this about 6 or 7 years ago and haven't bent one of these heavier kingpins yet.

I use a pin reamer (a machine tool) to gradually enlarge the holes and then finish it with chucking reamers starting at .121" and going up until the pin fits easily but with no slop.

You can try it with a 1/8" drill bit, but you might not like the results after you are done.

Not hitting anything! I think it is from doing cartwheels!
