SC10 Thread

Ok for yal that race mod, I seen a 7.5 in a SC10 today and it was stupid fast but no line. The guy just pointed and gassed, pointed and gassed. Yes he was fast, but it was ugly. My truck I have a 13.5 in and coming from nitro it needs more guts, my buddies truck has a 10.5 and is easier to drive I think because its got more guts and top end.
So my question is what is the best motor size to run in the mod class, small track

i am going to the 8.5 in my my mod truck just because we will race the full track here in my town and half the 8th scale track when i go to cvr.

the motor size will depends on how you drive really. I run an 8.5 because I am very smooth and careful with my finger. If you have a heavy or nitro finger go with a 10.5 and gear it up. I think a 9.5 would really be money in an open corr truck, but I have yet to find one.

since its between the 8.5 and 10.5 in kv.
i love the way my 4600 is its just not smooth.

a lot of that has to do with the sensored vs. sensorless and race conditions where you're constantly on/off throttle. there's also difference between the manufacturers. i went from a novak gtb to the speedpassion gt and there was a huge difference imo.

How much for one just like that one????? I am the HillBilly Redneck at the race tracks around here, because all the tracks are in a city aleast an hour away and I definitly stand out, big jacked up 4x4, covered in gravel road dirt next to all the city boys commuter cars, skoal and wranglers dont help. They would just crack up to see me run a body like that.

I have a 7.5 in mine and it is a blast!!! I have goosebumps on the back but need a bit more forward bite so I have added some weight and the 1 degree toe blocks so we will see this weekend if it helps
I do get painted as having a heavy throttle finger but I am working on smoothing it out...

If you are someone who makes a bunch of mistakes stay with a 10.5 as it will be easier to drive and keep in control.
