there are a few things I would like to say in TTR's defense..

first.. the replacement and option parts are dramatically less expensive than any other that I've seen.. I'm amazed at the cost of the parts and what you get with them.. even MSRP is cheaper than other cars' parts

Second, since you used the XB8 as a direct comparison.. is all the feedback I've gotten about the XB8 is its lack of durability.. the car looks pretty tight.. but that is irrelavant in my mind.. I'm sure it's a capable car though.. So, maybe there is a reason for the cost..

Third.. a lot of shock towers are stamped.. a lot.. the X5 comes with stamped towers.. among other parts..

anyway... most the cars are good.. the TTR has a lot of things you can't see from just a glance.. I think it is an excellent value.. for $500

Doesn't the TTR also not use E-clips? I think I read that somewhere.

Also, I like how the Xray is light, but sometimes that can hurt a car in the rough areas because it'll get thrown around a bit.

The mugen aluminum setup and the kyosho carbon setup are the only ones I'll go anywhere near.

The mugen performs the best, but the kyosho will last longer without maintenance (although, with proper maintenance, both will last pretty damn long).

Default Buggyman I do hate to be wrong

I have the Nitro house parts list for the car in front of me for that car. I was considering running the car until I went over the price lists. I am confused but you can get all this stuff for a K car for less. Especially since every company makes parts for the K car. How is the Jammin car cheaper. Yes it is $50 less to buy, but back to the saying. You get what you pay for.

Chassis $175
Shock tower rear $32
Shock tower front $32
Toe plates $20
Steering knuckles $99
radio tray $37
The body is $60 damn.
Fuel Tank $17
Wing $16
The Flywheel $45
Chassis Braces $50
All these prices are direct from Nitro House

The reason the body is 50 dollars is because its pre-trimmed. The Pro-line CP 2.0 for the 777 fits great. and your showing all the retail prices not nitro house prices. The chassis is 140 which is very expensive I agree but most people dont replace there chassis's unless they bent it in a crash.

wow.. those prices are pretty high!

TTR chassis (the crazy one with built in supports) $48
TTR body $21..

on and on.. if you are looking for a quality car with inexpensive parts.. I think TTR has you covered..

Default My point is that all the cars are pricey

I have only been running 1/8th for a year and have owned a mugen and a Kyosho. I was considering getting a new car for this season and kept hearing how cheap these other cars were. I wanted to try some of the other cars but then when I started looking at the prices of hop ups and stuff I found that I was better off just staying with my K car.

I am coming from owning and upgrading the hell out of a Kanai 2 so I know expensive when i see it.
The two newest cars on the market locally are the S3 and the XB8. I looked at initial cost, adjustability and aftermarket needs to make it racey. There is also something to be said about where some of the factory drivers switch over to. I am pretty much running the same set up as Josh Wheeler altho I am not sure what clutch he uses. I have the Worx Power Clutch in mine which I have yet to break in. I am sure the S3 is a good car no doubt there but I feel IMHO the XB8 is the best bang for buck. Also can't wait to run it with the new engine i got for it. mmmmmmm LC21-B7

Tony wasn't trying to get ya fired up but your prices ARE wrong. they are retail.
tank $14.41
my Mugen was $23
wing-$13.56
chasis-$147
shock towers-$27
chasis braces FRONT AND REAR $42
graphite radio tray $31
the prices you had were retail straight from your catalog. now go on the web site and look at the red price.
of all the cars I have had the jammin parts have been the cheapest.
ya the body is $50 pre cut and that is allot.

Kyosho parts are by far the most expensive parts on the market. And I am not talking about e-bay.

I posted the prices that you would pay in your hobby shop for the average Joe. Those prices you quoted are after the nitro house discount.
