Right now the hot new car on the block is the Jammin X-1 CR kit, which is desgned by Jay Halsey, made by ofna, and must be assembled. It also comes in a RTR form, which as you guessed it, is stripped down of alot of the sought after goodies to save on costs to make it a RTR. But its still a darn good buggy that I'd recommend.
Personally, I own a Ofna Hyper 7 PCR (latest in the h7 line), and dont regret it at all. I havent broken anything yet, and if I do parts are plentiful and cheap. Mine came with a starter box, so all I've really done to it is strapped in a RB concepts WS2 engine, and can hang with the best of them. You really cant beat the Performance per $ ofna gives you with great parts support everywhere.

Default Kyosho 777 shell on K2

Hello all, I just got myself a second hand K2. But i need a shell for it. I cannot find it here in Singapore. Wat other shell will fit the K2? I was also thinking of doing some mods on the K2 so that the 777 shell can fit in. Is this possible? Thanx for the time.

Probably won't work with the stock pieces. The mudguards on the 777 are 10mm narrower then the K3's. If you could get the 777 mud guards to fit...

It's more important that the lines in the plastic line up with the edges of the chassis. You can always drill extra holes.

Default 1/8 scale RTR Buggys (recommendations)

Hello,

I'm currently in the market to purchase a new RTR buggy. What I have been looking at is the Ofna Jammin X1 RTR, Ofna Hyper 7 RTR and also the Sportwerks Mayhem RTR. I'm new to the 1/8th scale offroad scene so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

Have you looked at the Kyosho Inferno MP7.5 Sports RTR?

Yes, I have looked into that RTR kit, I was thinking of something a little higher end. I want to purchase something I can grow with not out of. Thanks!

Bang for the buck, the X1 RTR is a smokin' deal. The stock engine and exhaust provide great power to grow with, and there's no pull starter to yank on like a lawnmower. Best of all, it's geometrically the same as the X1-CR Pro kits the team races!

Aaron is right. At the moment, there is no RTR buggy even close to being as track capable as the X1 RTR. The Mayhem is a distant second.

Can you upgrade the Jammin x1 RTR up to racing capability in the future? Also what is the major difference between the X1 RTR and the Hyper 7 RTR? Thanks for the assitance I really apprecite it.
