Make sure you use the same plug that it came with the P7 i believe. Also i have heard to make sure your fuel has sufficient oil content.

actually it comes with a P3, way too hot for the 30% i run. ive shimmed the head and am running a novarossi #7 plug. i run trinity platinum in it. ive never had any problems with any of my engines running lower oil content. its running very well with this setup and ill try the 086 pipe as soon as i get it back from my buddy. he's trying it out now to see if he likes it before he buys a new pipe.

Nate - I don't know any details of the race, I just remember seeing the flyer somewhere. I'll see if I can find it for you. The 2005 Offroad gas nationals will also be somewhere on the east coast.

We just got a huge track out here and I'm thinkin about getting a 1/8 buggy for it. What do you guys recommend, and why do you recommend it over the next car?

well ill be the typical prick and recommend a car that i have. the Xray XB8. i bought it on Xrays reputation, and it has lived up to it and then some. build was very easy, no trimming of parts at all, everything bolted together very nicely. it drives great right out of the box, and if you do want to change anything. most adjustments can be made in under 2 minutes with just a screwdriver or hexdriver. its also built pretty beefy. id say its tougher than my PRP Swift easy. its just a nice car to drive and work on.

The XRay has definately been on my list since I saw it, I'm basically trying to chose between that, the Mugen and the Kyosho. How are the plastics used on the XRay, do the arms and stuff hold up well?

I would recommend the Kanai 3, they go together perfectly with no hand fitting. They handle great and are very durable. I would recommend upgrading the front and rear towers and braces. Just to be on the safe side. Plus parts support for the k car is great, and you can pick them up for a reasonable price since the new MP777 came out, which is also a great buggy.

Great to see you here Randman!! Your old RS chassis just powered me to 4th in the A today

I've always been a Mugen guy, but that Xray looks like a solid machine, nicely engineered.

Choosing between them aint going to be easy........

Keep us posted, 1/8th buggies are awesome.

I really think it's gonna be the XRay, just wanted to hear opinions on it.. I dont like pivot ball as much as C Hub suspension, so the mugen is kinda out, and Kyosho seems to be changing cars a bit lately, if it doesnt work well for me, it can always be sold

Glad to hear the RS chassis is workin well for you. I've been doin a lot of electric offroad, just won mod truck in the Summer Heat series out here, they gave me a B4 factory team kit for the win so I'm gonna be running elec buggy as well.
