Default Big Air Problems

Can someone explain to me "the art of jumping?" When I take the jump, I've tried gassing through it, coasting through it, gassing half way through, hitting the breaks half way through... but, I can't seem to land properly. My GS Storm either nose dives or lands on the butt. I know my shocks and towers don't appreciate the landings.

Thanks.

as youve noticed im sure gassing while in air sends you nose up and braking nose down

the launch is also critical the way you set up will also set your in air angle coast up a jump and you'll nose down power up a jump and you'll nose up

there is no better way to figure it out than practice

i would say i try to hit most all jumps at some amount of throttle to keep the nose up hopefully enough to backside another jump too much will send your nose up and then you'll overshoot the landing

but there is no way i can really explain it in a way thats actually going to make any difference untill you practice

and IMO some jumps are unjumpable and should just be rolled

Havent seen a swift yet, guess everyone got scared of it with its bad first production run. I'm sure in time they will correct its problems, but until someone can give honest, hard answers to questions we have, it wont be in contention to win anything.

Default Hobao

IMHO its a great car for bashing and even competitive racing at a friendly price. It's $200 cheaper than a Kanai 3 and has an engine with muffler set to boot. although most serious racers don't use the engine and install a Sirio Kanai or Nova 421B.

Hobao:

Great cars. I've driven a few of the newer versions (PBS, Pro, the older pro, and some of the RTR versions) over the weekend and I can safely say that they ALL drive really nicely. The pro version is awesome and is convincingly beating some of the more established teams and team drivers here in the UK.

I reckon Hobao will appeal to all but the most hard nosed Mugen & Kyosho fans. Definitely a team to watch.

Not too keen on the stock engines though, if I were buying one I'd get the pro without an engine and run my choice of engine - RB.

Comparing to my old Mugen MBX4RR, I reckon the only reason I was turning faster laps was because my WS7 engine was giving me the edge. Had the Hobao's been powered by my engine, I wouldn't like to say.......

Default Storm under steer

Does anyone else have problems with their GS Storm buggy under steering?

Can someone give me some advice on how to fix under steer? Thanks in advance.

last weekend, my buddy's hyper pbs stock engine finally took a dump. r.i.p. luckily for him, i brought an extra ws7. i'd ran this w/ my mbx5, but used a os t-2050 pipe (i was too lazy to put my 086).

he had been using an 086 pipe w/ the stock 8 port, so we just swapped his engine out. that thing had alot of rip top & bottom, especially with that pipe. he was on par w/ my mbx5/p-5/os2050.

personally, i prefer my p-5/os set up just because it's reliable, easy to tune, and pretty freaking fast.

however, i did want to backup horatio on ws7 - it's one hell of mill, and yes, hobao cars are as competitive as the other bling! bling! brands. i see hyper 7's all over the place doing well.
