the hyper is more of a "racing car" in my opinion.. and the hyper PCR is tight.. I would much rather buy that than a GS Storm.. hands down

since i got my mbx5, i've driven that exclusively. i have to admit, my hyper 7 is a formidable machine. it drove well and the stock engine packs a punch for what it is.

if $$ are tight, and you wanna be competitive out of the box, the hyper 7 is a good choice.

Thanks for the replys. I'm getting the Stom for about $290 after I sell the radio out of it. I was thinking of getting the Hyper 7 PCR, but I just bought a G4 and money is tight, plus I think I'm getting a great deal on the Storm kit.

Is there anything else I should upgrade on the Storm beside putting silicone fluid in the diffs. What weight should I use by the way?

I would ditch all the a-arms, shocks, shock towers, chassis, diffs, shafts, fuel tank, screws, clutch, wing, body, and any other thing visible in the box.. then go buy a hyper 7 RTR.. my recommended upgrades

The rtr storm is a good entry level buggy. It will get you started and you will do fine with it. However you will suffer some mechanical problems and part failures. The storm is very similar in desighn to the old MP-6 wich that desighn dates back over 10 years. I would recomend the hyper rtr. It can get you started cheaply and it can be eaislily up dated with parts on ebay to get it to the pro level for under $100.

ultimate hobbies has the Hyper 7 pro for $399 and that includes shipping. Now sell the torsen diff that comes with it for $75 and get a sport motor like the OS RG for $109. You could almost make a new pro kit go track ready for around $500

just go to nitrohouse and spend $480 on a hyper pcr.. it is trick and comes with a good motor.. unlike the GS.. the motor with that is junk.. along with 95% of the car

if you end up buying the storm try 5000-7000-1000 weight diff oil,
front-centre-rear respectively
