Has anyone found a hard case lipo that actually fits this battery tray? I plan on running 4s and the smallest I've found so far is a promatch 5000Mah pack at 47mm, while the tray is 46mm. Of course I could run a 3600mah, but I'd like something at 5000Mah+. I dont understand why it was not made a bit wider to accept more of the larger packs, and probably soon to be 6000-8000 hard cased packs.

Ok it's been awhile since I posted any of my own personal builds, well for Christmas my lovely wife bought me a Hyper 9 GL, so I've been working on it here & there along with my other unfinished projects..finally I was able to semi finished it up this weekend.. here are some pics, feel free to let me know what you think..
I used the Hyper 9E motor mount since it has the same bolt pattern..

Here you can see all the mods I did, first you'll noticed the motor is to the front right that's due to the nature of the 9E mount,
1) I had to flip the steering servo saver to the left since the motor was to the right, it worked out perfectly..
2) I machined the RX box to hold the Tekein RX8 in place, my futaba RX fit perfectly inside also..
3) Since there was no way of using the stock aluminum front center brace, I made a top plate from carbon fiber, now it's firm & looks like a 1/10 4wd
4) All the wires have been tucked away neatly for a super clean setup..
