Packs are run on both hyper 9e's with connections towards the rear. Both ends of the tray are also padded with 1/2" of foam to soften any shock. The crazy thing is the 2 that have gone up in flames so far went up right as soon as I pulled away. Lucky they did really as both times I was close enough to get to them before they went up in flames in the car. The amount of smoke from these cells is also unreal. I couldn't see anything when I was pulling batteries out. I was working blind. When they go up they put out so much heat that they burn away both straps so battery come out pretty easy.

Hey guys, could I get the latest report on springs? What is the best for big outdoor track. I've been using the greys all round but I have heard some people are using X ray springs. if so why and what are the part numbers? Just like to know what everyone is using these days in case greys arn't the best anymore.
Im using 10 hole 1.1mm pistons all round with losi 25 oil in front and 30 in rear.
Buggy weighs 3.4 kg
Thanks

Hi again!
Today I finally took my first run with my h9e
snowy/icy road so I didn't really get any feel for the car.
I'm thinking of moving my esc down to the chassis plate as some of you here have done. I don't like the idea of not having an rx-box though. There's not that many dry racingdays here, therefore i would like to have a box to protect the rx from the weather.
Anyone who have any ideas on what box might fit? I'm going to scan trough tower / amain to see what I can find, but if someone have any suggestions It certainly would spare me some time.
Thanks.

Attachment 707657 Tekno V3 battery tray. I mounted it as far forward as possible. Any further forward and the body would hit the top of the battery.

I run the bump chassis with the v3 extended tray and to be honest the stock battery box wouldnt add any stifness to the bump chassis. I have the 4mm model so it may be different with the 3.2mm chassis though.
