Thank you for asking, reracer-
I do not have any updates as of yet. I will post updates as soon as I have any new information regarding the Matrix Concepts Carbon Fiber Chassis- and complete carbon fiber kits for the Hyper 9E.

Nitrohouse will soon have the new Tim Bump designed chassis available for the Hyper 9e. The new chassis is made here in the USA and is cnc machined from real Kaiser aircraft grade 7075 T6 aluminum. The new chassis is predrilled for mudguards and will be available in both 3mm and 4mm versions. The 3mm is 20% lighter than the stock chassis and the 4mm is about the same weight as the stock chassis. The new chassis will also be slightly longer than the stock chassis for increased stability. Currently in the final stages of production, the new chassis should be available within approx. 2 weeks.

Looks like somebody's running Kyosho shocks. The hate continues for the 17mm Hyper9 shocks.

Shoot my 17mm shocks are dialed, I frowned when i had to put them on but with good testing my shocks are butter. Shoot it's been about 3 weeks since I changed my oils they gone off just a tad but still handle the track well, time for some new juice Sat.

There's no hate! I run both the stock 17mm shocks and the Kyosho shocks. I've had the Kyosho shocks laying around for a while and finally got them set-up and mounted properly to the Hyper 9. (they are not a direct fit)
The Kyosho shocks do feel very nice on the Hyper but I have also had very good results with the 17mm Hyper shocks. The driver at our local track (West Coast Raceway) that usually wins 1/8 expert runs the stock 17mm shocks.
