I'm running the Turnigy 4500 4S hardcase too. Tekin 1700, RX8 and 16T pinion and it's a screamer. Getting 30 minute run times.

I have one of these 5800 and ended up cutting the outside edge of the battery tray to fit the battery on it's side (cells flat in the tray), with the wires coming from the back of the car. I figure the mud guards and body still offer enough protection from side impacts.

We need one of these aftermarket carbon fiber guys to make a wider battery tray that also integrate mud guards ! Plastic would do actually

30 minutes on a race with a 4s 4500pack and 1700 motor is impossible.

maybe just for fun driving or a small track but not in race conditions

Hi Chris,
Simple Green and or 409 both work great. Once you get all the dirt off, and use an air compressor if possible to get most of the cleaners off, and or you can use a rag or something to dry the buggy. Then spray it down with wd-40 and hit the buggy with the air gun again. Then wipe the buggy down with your clean rag or cloth. This will keep you looking like new. And, this cleaning process is also recumended for keeping your Matrix Concepts Carbon Fiber clean, once you get your complete kit from Robert, as well Hope this helps.

PS. Be sure to remove all of your electronics before cleaning your Hyper 9E.

Strip it down and get scrubbing, Any other way is imo cheating and all your doing is forcing dirt where you don't want it.

Cain, for the money the Associated chasis protector sheet is probably the best bet, and most lhs stock them (I think about 6 or so dollars)
