Just in case, the Novak is a 2 pole motor so it will get hotter than other motors, that is why I would watch the temp closely at first.

Please say more, I will also read up on this; but would like to know as much as you can say about 2pole vs 4pole vs? what does the pole count do to power, heat, torque, speed and anything else I missed.

4 pole has more torque which is better for 8th scales. I am pretty sure there is more heat not significant if geared right for 2. A 2 pole generally has more rpm compared to the same exact motor that would have 4 poles.

I think thats it...

For your car I think you should be fine. Just get the gearing right.

Here it is: The motor plate and servo saver piece are clearly hpi purple. The tierods are purple but it is hard to tell in the picture because alot of the anodizing has worn off so it is like a blueish purple. The front arm brace had to be replaced a while ago because it was pretty worn and beaten.

Default 2 Pole Novak Motor. HV 4.5.

Sounds good, thank you for that info T4. I really very much appreciate it

And I will be quite careful with gearing and watching my temperature(Motor, ESC, and LiPo, and All wires and connectors). And I'll be sure to let you and everyone on this thread know how testing goes with this motor(and MMP esc combination). This is fun

Yes they are threaded. I believe the front hinge pin holder look the same as the tierods do now so I believe so. I know for sure it is because I know who it traveled from. It went from Hara to Jeremy Felles to a person I worked with at one time to me.
