must have? So this car is getting expensive at this point with shock caps, shock cap kit, Elite motor mount. Hmmm. The stock motor mount won't cut it?

the stock mount works fine...but the Elite RC mount is just much more convenient and much easier to set and adjust gear mesh to perfection.

LOL...you have a Losi but you are calling the Hyper 9e expensive? If you can afford a Losi, you can afford a Hyper 9e with a bunch of hop ups.

lol.that's why i switched to a hyper 9e for the buggy and kept my 2.0 truggy in electric.I want a hyper 9e truggy,why won't ofna make one by now.

I dont know about a FLOP, it was kinda heavy, thing was a tank, i loved mine, it was pretty competitive w/ BCE chassis and jammin shocks against older truggies

i have had mine out a few times now.. pretty good so far, only running 3s on a 2200kv... seems a bit slow on the top end with 15t pinion.

lots of steering and seems to stay on its wheels like a cat.

wish list for this buggy
-nicer tighter fitting body
-side guards
-bit wider lipo tray
-better motor mount. works fine but would be nicer to adjust.

Ha ha. Good point. I actually bought the Losi used so I'm into it cheap. But I saw a Hyper 9e in person and just fell in love with it. The pix don't do it justice. In person the car is just sick (this guys had a few hop ups though).

As you all know, the Losi drivetrain is expensive to stay on top of. I have a Mugen on the other hand that is just a dream. It needs to be cleaned up with new bearings and oil is all. Now this is a drivetrain!!!! So, I was super curious how the 9e's drivetrain holds up, since it's the most expensive part of an 8th scale.

you are a little low on the pinion with 3s, you should be at 17t or 18t. Tim Bump run 18t with 3s 2650castle.

what's a good size pinion to go with for a medium/large track on the CC/Neu 1800 on 4s? Currently have a 14t but it might not be enough
