You need both...I don't think I'd bother racing if I only owned a Slash or SC10.

SC10 is essentially a XXX-T with Speed T shock towers and shocks. Way better than a slash. Has many XXX-T parts as well. I prefer it over Traxxas any day still would keep your 2wd buggy as you will get tired of the RC10 pretty quickly when all you do is lap racers by 5 laps that use the slash

The 2wd buggy takes more skill to drive and you will quickly get tired of the SC10 and or Slash. It is fun for a little while esp after drinking a few but not more than 1 hours time.

Out of your choices I would get the SC10. The SCT class is the NEW great class to join. More people are having fun racing their SC trucks than others in the past.

Is it even possible to talk about a CORR truck without the thread turning into Slash VS SC10??

I am buying the SC10 rather than a Slash because:
1. I want to build it.
2. I already have good electronics and a nice radio to use with it
3. My existing tool set (hex drivers, nut drivers, etc) and extra hardware (screws, nuts, etc) are the same
4. I intend to race weekly, bash occaisonally
5. It's new, and new stuff is way cooler than old stuff

SC10 is made by Team Associated http://www.rc10.com/ae/sc10/sc10_home.htm
XXX-T/Speed-T are made by Losi
2 entirely different companies

xDaRReLLx87, the SC10 is made be Team Associated, not Losi. It's based on the RC10T4, not the XXX-T from Losi.

you have everything right, and also that Traxxas makes cheap toys
The Losi Desert Track has most of the parts the XXX-T has, and a couple of speed T parts so it is very reliable and the shocks work great. The SC10 is similar to the Losi Desert Truck so essentially I classify them the same way

That happens in every thread. No matter what you want there will always be someone that says something else is better, and then the arguing starts.

For all you want, the SC10 will fit that list perfectly.

No more chance of that happening than there are not people
still angry over the idea of being able to buy pre-cut bread.

Sorry, but your Losi Desert truck does not meet the provisional roar rules for this class.

The Losi Desert Truck looks like a toy you can buy from Toys R Us. It's it's own class of racing. It doesn't fit the SCT class and it doesn't fit the Stadium Truck class.

You can buy the SC10 or wait for the SC8e to come out, of course I do not know if the SC8e is rtr or kit.

and the slash doesn't look like a toy? The SC10 appears to be pretty solid but I'd wait for bugs to be worked out first. Generally it is more fun to build the trucks yourself. It doesn't matter what I drive, I'll be fast, but as of right now I don't like any core truck. I'm sure things will be better in the next 3 years.
