Default Mamba Monster 2650 on a Losi 8ight ??

I have a MM 2650 setup on my 8ight and this thing is ballistic fast. That would be cool for bashing bust for racing it is uncontrollable. What are the best settings for this motor combo to tone it down? I have the timing set to normal with punch control @ medium and I'm running a DX3R radio if that make a difference.

Thanks for the help

65% as max throttle, still faster than O.S. V spec II
Use the Castle Link software

quickest fix would be to turn your EPA down on the throttle side

Bad idea according to Castle this will cause the system to run hotter than normal.

I run this motor in my Caster and I have my punch control at 80% my start power on low and my timing set at the lowest and it is running well and easy to control for me.

really?? thats news to me! I've been doing this with my 10th scale stuff for years without problems it seems to be the quickest easy fix while on the track. I wonder what makes it run hotter? I'm going to try it out on my mmm/2200kv and see if i get any temp differences

The esc works harder at partial throttle which is what you are doing by turning down the end points.
This is discussed on the Castle site under the frequently asked question section. This may not be such a issue on the lower voltage 10th scale systems.
