Losi conversion kit plastic spur rubbing....??
Just got my losi converstion kit and was building it up. I mounted the plastic spur gear to the center diff. When I reinstalled into the diff mount the spur gear rubs on the diff/motor mount something fierce!
I tried to shim it but that did not work...What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!!

I just did a conversion as well and yes mine rubbed hard on chassis. just remove some material under it and it's good now. I took a 3/8 drill bit and drilled 3 almost holes not thru the chassis. Then clean between them with dremel. I took it apart 5 times and could not find anything else but that so it was the fix for me

I put shims behind the bearing. This freed the spur from rubbing on the diff/motor mount. It still rubbs on the plastic spur cover and it sits directly on the chassis.
I will dremel the plastic cover out. But, I think I will raise the diff mounts with shims before I drill out the chassis.
I just think Losi could have put this in the directions some how though...????

I added a .3mm shim behind the bearing and the problem was solved.

I've read that when you shim it up screw lenght is an issue and most important that you put (bind) on diffs or rubbing issues on radio tray.
Not that it's wrong just check for these issues.
There's nothing like staring at that sheet of paper flippin it over every two minuites look for a better view or directions
