I got to hammer on one of these a few weeks ago. I must admit that I was grinning ear-to-ear. The locked diffs allow this thing to go just about anywhere. It's the perfect basher around here because it's almost unstoppable and it's waterproof. Perfect for the long winters here. The thing would plow through 5 inches of snow no problem and I blasted off 4 foot snowbanks effortlessly.

Things that worry me would be:

LOTS of moving parts; FIVE servos to operate everything; plenty of opportunities for things to go wrong.

Maintenance nightmare; again, lots of parts.

I think they are great ...............and I don`t care for Traxxas products . I`d like to get one but can`t see spending that kind of money for one .

I really don't see the point in the summit. It is VERY slow and not the best crawler. For the price of it you can get a decent crawler and a slash or e-maxx for bashing.

if you like how it is good in wet weather then just get an e-revo. Better bang for the buck.

Seems like it would be a perfect basher. And they really arent that slow... Not an e-revo no but its not setup to be like that. Plus with waterproof and locking diff you can take it anywehere. I would get one if I had the money and didnt already have a converted revo that im working on perfecting.

Well it only goes what.....15-20mph. You cant do much jumping/bashing with that.

You don`t get it . It`s not made to be a speed demon . If it went as low as 15 mph it is fast enough for jumps and bashing .

It does look like the ultimate basher. Sometimes going slow all the time does get old. I can't call that its crawler, basically a glorified revo.
I figured it would be that way. I can't remember the last vehicle traxxas put out that didn't recycle parts from older models.
