I am not into Rock crawling but I think the crawlers are pretty cool. I would own one just to marvel in the coolness of it.
Anyways, I am reading a review about the Kyosho Rock Force 2.2 in one of the rc car mags and they made a statement about changing the body out to a legal USRCCA body (8x3x3.75)for competition. How does the body give you an advantage in Rock Crawling? Aerodynamics aren't a factor. Overhang from the chassis? Is this just a rule to annoy people or maybe a rule to just have a rule?

I have one just for the same reason. (sits up on a shelf) The Losi Mini Rock crawler seems to have the 1.9 class rules written around it for all the dimensions.

No clue on the body, and why it does not conform? Maybe it's too short?
