If you look at the team guys from like 4-5 years ago they would trim off every other tooth on the belt, it wasn't to prevent skipping --it actually increased it!! It was to get the belt even freer and put down more power. We didn't have the crazy lipo and brushless even 4-5 years ago.

one way to put down the power is to buy a xx-4
