Default Lipo cut off problem, (LRP AI/Eraser)

So I had a race this past weekend, and towards the end of BOTH qualifiers, my truck just died. I am running a 2 cell lipo, LRP A.I. esc, Eraser 10.5 motor in my T4. I am assuming the lipo cut-off kicked in, because the throttle died completely, but the steering still worked. I THEN put the lipo on the charger, and it STILL has 7.4v! What is wrong with my set-up? This is really odd…..

Not a brushless guy so I can't really help you diagnose, but I will say that if it's a problem with the ESC, take the opportunity to chuck it for something else. I've seen and heard nothing, and I mean NOTHING but problems with the A.I. series.

Having an ESC with one button you kinda know how to use is better than an ESC with no buttons and no reason it should set itself up the same way twice when you turn it on. It's not that hard to set up an ESC, honest.

I run both 7.4 lipo's and 6.6v A123 cells. If I leave the ESC set for auto lipo cutoff and try to run my A123 packs, the speed controller goes haywire. It will start, stop, jitter the steering and shut down intermittently. I finally realized that I needed to program a custom cutoff of 4 volts (A123 spec). After I did that everything was fine.
Even with my castle Creations ESC, using the Auto Lipo cutoff setting(allowing you to swap between 3S and 2S batteries without reprogramming the ESC) , it seems to cutoff earlier than programming in a hard cutoff off for the battery being used.

After reading several posts with this same issue. It is possible LRP has some problems with the "automatic" cutoff creating some problems.
