SLASH WHEELS
Is the slash and slayer wheels the same they look it and also is there any other combo wheel tires out there that can be adapted to it like buggy wheels just something with better grip and a little wider

The newer Slash's have the same wheels as a Slayer. They have the larger inner diameter than the outer diameter. You can get the Pro-line beadlocks, and some switch tires for it which are better for some tracks. You can also look on e-bay and get the adapters for buggy wheels to go on it. The one I drove with buggy wheels, seemed to want to roll over a lot.

buggy wheels (17mm 8th sale) and using 2.2 fuzzies on the beadlocks go against the spirit of the class. Proline Switch tires, on the Epic Beadlocks are a scale appearing block tire with all the handling characteristics of the real thing.
Yes overall you will have more grip, faster lap times, but if you wanted a PUREBRED RACING MACHINE you'd be racing 2wd Stadium Truck (t4, XXTAD2 etc.)
I have tried Slayer wheels with an adapter (home made) to fit my slash using SC8 tires, which closer resemble the BFG Baja T/A Project KR 39" tires used on most trophy trucks.. you will roll over nonstop.

well this going to start something but im going to say it any way sorry to the slayer lover's i only race with my buddy's at a homemade dirt oval so i converted it to brushless and instead of rolling over all the time i put revo's wider suspension but left the slayer body and slayer wheels i don't like the big revo wheels so now im just looking to get some better griping tire's but maybe a little wider to

Slash and Slayer wheels are not interchangeable. The hex size is different. Stock electric Rustler rear wheels fit (front and rear), as well as OFNA CRT .5 wheels. Your tire choice is up to you after that, the CRT wheels will fit 1/10 buggy or truck tires, and the Rustler wheels will fit 1/10 truck tires. I have run the mini pin/rib tire set up on a Slash, and it does make the truck handle better, but really took away from the stock/real appearance of the truck. I put them on my son's truck now when he races novice. I am sure there are more wheels out there if you look (common 12mm hex drive), but stick to a CORR type tire.

Hey, i was looking at using some 1/8 scale buggy wheels with my slash, would these adapters work?
grr i cant post links.. but if you go to ebay and type "17mm hex adapter" and the losi ones that are about$17, will those work?

I have actually used my old Losi wheels and tires on my slash. Remove the plastic hex from the shaft and the Losi wheels fit with a little persuation or boring them out with a dremel.
I did this to get better traction when using a BL motor last summer and had great results. I found T-2000s in the rear and HoleShots on the front gave the best results on our hard clay track.
