Losi eXelorin / MMMv3 wiring

My 1/8 scale conversion is nearly complete, I just need to wire the ESC leads to the motor. There is a red/black/white wire lead. Does the white lead go into the center with a red and black lead on each side? If the white does go in the center does it then plug into the center lead on the MMMv3?

If my understand is correct I would have outer red, center white, out black, and then the same on the MMMv3, if the engine turns backwards I can then just swap the outer red and black leads on the ESC. Does this sound correct?

Unlike most brushless motors, the Mamba Monster motors do not require a certain wire order. I believe the instructions for the MMM explains this. If the motor runs in reverse, swith the black and red wire leads.

From the "Castle Drivers Ed" instruction book (page 8):

"For brushless motor connection, the three wires from the ESC to the motor have no polarity. Connect the red, white and balck motor wires to the three wires coming from the motor......There is no polarity on the three ESC-to-motor wires, so do not worry about how you connect them initially. You may find it necessary to swap two wires if the motor runs in reverse."

I realize that the input from the battery is DC and the output to the motor is AC but I still don't quite understand how there is no correct polarity. Well thanks everyone, I'm going to just run the white wire to the center and see if everything turns in the right direction.

Yes you r correct white in the center red and black out sides. I just did this last night as well. It ran in reverse so I had to switch em. Also in the manual it states if you run futuba you have to reverse the throttle--well it's the airtronic's also. That one took awile to find

Hey what volt battery are you guys running I ran a losi 18v and it was sick and btw I'm running an 8T I was thinking of trying an 11v 10000mah to see how that would work is it enough with the 2200kv I don't want back flips just smoothness
