Savage- your supposed to post those type of things in the buy sell forum. No one cares how fast the car can go, its all about how fast and consistent you can post lap times on a track. You will never need all that power in a 1/10 truck if you cannot drive it. I would not even need that much power. Please take your topic somewhere else. Thank you.

If I were you I would get either a OS .12 cvr or a fantom fr12. I chose the fantom because the fantom only costs $40.00 for a piston and sleeve set. They have similar performance. The fantom is rated at about 1.15 hp at 40,000 rpm is what I think. I am pretty sure though. I have 3 gallons through my fantom and it's still going strong. I have heard of people getting around 10 gallons of fuel through the engine with only replacing the bearings and little things like that.

I'm not bashing your statement, but even with the fastest engine available a xxxnt would not do 57 mph, with stock gearing.Even with the 20 tooth clutch it would be close. And 20 minutes of run time on the stock tank under race conditions is impossible.

i never said anything about stock tank, he put two on his and they are bigger
with a stock tank more like 15 min run times is likely. But other than that the engine is fast and also i never said anything about stock gearing or stock clutch bell or stock spur, and m sry i was saying that you bashed my statement i just thought it sounded like that sry.

I got it in on friday, got it built and the body painted yesterday and ran it a little today. I just threw in a spare Mach .15 I had in my HPI and put the stock HPI back in there. I'll see about snapping some pics tomorrow.

I'll probably just keep that in there for a while, and here in a month or so I want to buy the a novarossi

Hi guys,

I have an XXX-T and now I'm thinking of getting the XXX-NT. I have tons of hop-ups on my XXX-T, when I get my XXX-NT, I wanna transfer them to my new gas truck.

I was wonder what kind of parts are compatable between the two trucks? Like arms, knuckle, chassis, shock towers, etc.

Thanks!

You have to take all that other crap off, the clutch housing, clutch all that stuff. Use an engine cylinder holder, then you get the 5/64th(I think it's the blue losi wrench) and just unscrew it. Just make sure when you reassemble everything you use locktite, or you'll be reassembling it again very soon

I'm not familiar enough with them to know for sure, but when you get your NT just take the two parts listings and compare numbers. If the same part on both cars shares a number, your hop ups should be good to go for transfer.

Even if the parts fit, but the part numbers are different I wouldn't use them, it's better to spend the extra money and have the right part, then to go cheap and find out a few runs later why losi uses different parts.

From what I understand, it's pretty much the entire front suspension, shocks, wheels, springs, umm...that's about all I can think of. I don't have a XXXT, so I'm not sure, but I wouldn't bother switching all the parts over anyway (especially if you're going to want to keep running the XXXT). Just spend the little bit of extra cash on the hopups you want specifically for the XXXNT, and leave everything that's on your XXXT on it.

speedydave you are everywhere! heh seems I'm following ya, I just picked up a losi drake kit too... the mugen is a good truck but nobody around here will stock parts for it

I found a guy on ebay selling captured thrust balls / washer setup, looks a lot like the traxxas fix people were using for MST-1's: captured thrust washer

I put them in a xxx-4 and the NT and holy cow the diffs are smooth now. Thought I'd pass this on ...

Yeah, I liked how mine drove, but when I broke and couldn't get parts for it, I said forget it, and bought the Losi. Of course, now I need to find a buyer for the MST1...

Alright, here's a pic of my NT:
