can the onyx 230 charge thiss lipo??

I beleive the instruction say up to 3 cell lipos, so your answer would be no.

umm, i have the Onyx 230. the maximum is 3 cells, sorry. but i love this charger. for only 80 bucks you cant get more

Yes it can. However I do not see any sort of balancing ability of this charger, so the battery might get a bit out of sync after a few charge\discharge cycles.

Could you tell me how that is possible, as far as balancing you just have ti buy an external balancer, works just fine.

It states it can charge a 3 cell LiPo in the specifications. I agree, I would suggest getting a external balancer when in use with the battery.

Onyx 230:
Battery types: 1-8 NiCd or NiMH cells (1.2-9.6V)
1-3 LiPo, Li-Ion, or LiFe cells (3.7-11.1V)
Battery capacity range: 50-9900mAh
Fast charge current: 0.1-7.0A linear, adjustable

correct and the battery he has linked is a 4 cell Zippy pack. So I am not following you.

sorry i should have put the spec up. so theres no way to charge it? what about if i make the pack into a 2s pack? could i make it a 2s pack and have 2 2s battereys then?

the onyx 230 does charge the Nimh
