Default Possibly running Offroad Electric in the Summer

Hi guys,

Not looking for a 'what is the best' thread, just a few simple suggestions on what's good and what is not.

At the moment I run offroad 1/18 on carpet and I'm getting pretty good at it, and 1/10 seems to be a little on complicated but more interesting and competitive.

A very local club runs offroad electric on a carpet track with wooden jumps (I think). I think that I will run 10.5 or 13.5 BL at the moment.

They run a 2WD class and a 4WD class. I've seen the B44, 501x, D4 for 4WD and the B4 for 2WD. I'm sure that there are far more trucks/buggies out there, but those are what I've seen and read reviews of and they all look good.

The club has quite strict rules on Lipo and Nimh packs, but more stick style packs are approved over saddles. I want to run Lipo though.

Can someone point me in the right direction for what I'm looking for? I wouldn't want to make the wrong move and buy some expensive crap.

I believe that most guys are using the X-6 conversion for the B4 over there, the LHS which runs the club have great stock for most kits.

Jacob

You can't go wrong with a B4 and the 13.5 it will be alot of fun. It will also hold what ever stick lipo your club will allow.

Great, thanks

The B4 should be nice and cheap too. I already have the Novak SS4300KV BL motor, so I don't need much.

Is the FT edition a better choice over the Team edition. I'd like to build it, I assume that both come as kits?

Yes you want the new Factory Team Kit in the black box.

Just checked my Tower mag and its only a few pounds more expensive. I'll go into the LHS and see if they have any. Should do.
