Wow I had no idea you had to be that drastic with brushless motors. If that was a brushed motor, it would go up in smoke!

It would be nice if AE/Losi could come out with a revised trans ratio perhaps?

I thought around 5.5 was good, until I slowly went down and down, and have arrived at a nice ratio to run, even on a tight twisty track believe it or not. I'm running an rb5 with a 39 pinion and 65 spur. Do a search on "turbo hub". There is a guy on here who makes them. It allows you to run small spur gears on your b4, cr or rb5. I know some guys running 41t on their b4's.
I've got the hub, I just havn't been able to find pinions bigger than 35 or spurs smaller than 65 in the right pitch. The only way I've been able to find smaller spur/bigger pinion is in 64 pitch. Glad to hear they're out there, now I just need to find one.

You know what...thank you for this. I was looking for these on these exact sites when I first got the hub, but couldn't find them at first, then I gave up. Maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough.
