I will say $379. Not really a fan of the associated 8th scale but I think its a great idea to market the cheaper versions for electric. That way more people will try them and get the class going. Plus they also also ft versions (well atleast for the buggy right now).

Exactly. I am having to reconsider what I want, a 10th scale 4WD or an 8th scale.

Well, normally I would agree. Only problem is there is not much of an electric following in my area. Running with the nitros is an option but the nitro guys complain about it. Track owners are ok with it though.

Several people are hoping to drum up some support for it. It is being run as an exhibition class in the state race series. We hope that gets some interest.

LOL who cares what the nitro guys think! Somebody has to get others interested! I put mine together because I wanted to run with the nitro cuz they have a killer turnout around here, not so much for 1/10.

Well, I don't care what they think. I just don't want to have to listen to them.

Also, everything I want for my 8th scale is not due to be available till mid April(such as this buggy ). Some stuff comes out sooner than that.

SMCs softcased 4cell lipo that will fit the AE buggy should be about $180 from what I recall.

This looks good for a cheaper option, the composite big bores are growing on me but I just wish they would have kept the graphite shock towers.

I think a street price of $349.99 would be great.

I want to go with Tekin and the new SMC 4S packs. I don't know if I am going to wait 4-6 weeks to get it though.

I am thinking about the Speed Passion stuff, the RC8e Limted Edition FT, and the SMC 4S(since it should be out anytime now) or 2x2S SMC packs. The onroad guys around here love the Speed Passion stuff.

if the speed passion stuff holds up, I like what all you get for the money. That programmer they include is a big plus.

The locals have had no failures that I am aware of(over a full season of onroad indoors and out). This is the 10th scale stuff, but it should be a good indicator of the quality of the 8th scale stuff.

It is good to see AE get all their 8th scale stuff converted to electric. These maybe stripped down a little, but the lower cost brings these kits closer to the cost of 10th scale electrics.

cool. the speed passion ESC is BIG for sure, but, if it is highly reliable, could be a winner and it does look like it should fit the AE style conversion fine.

It BARELY fits. It can be only installed in one way (with receiver wire towards rear of car). It should still reach the receiver though.
