In your neck of the woods, i would try 50/17 and go from there. Track size will play a big part in it as well. Check motor temps... make it a part of your routine.

Down south in the heat i have to run 50/16 and im pushing 165 on the motor @10 minutes.

If i remember the last time i measure it the front droop is 115mm .
It seems to do it on the sweeper turn and the turn going into the first big double. I might have to much toe out on the front also but im thinking the caster and tires are doing it so i might use the 16 degree caster.

My servo turnbuckle link did come loose two times also i need to get some new ball ends and locknuts there shot.

Heres my track.

I am rebuilding the shocks on my rc8t, what springs and pistons are people running on blue grooved clay smoother tracks? Also what tires are working good?

can you guys help me with a basher wheel/tire setup? I dont really like the look of Proline badlands, but I think they may be my best bet.

I like the jconcepts relux half ups but only find them in yellow and they are 3.7" wheels.

I know proline has wheels like the desperados, but im not sure what offset.

Any help for a good looking, high traction wheel tire combo for bashing would be greatly appreciated.

E-revos work with a little mod to the rim. I would suggest TBR bumpers for bashing.

It fits and works well on the rc8T I used to run it but converted it back to nitro.

Anybody know where I can get a deal on an AE or Tekno V4 conversion kit? Who has the best prices/any sales on at the moment?

If you want to do an AE conversion, just get one of these auction items (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASSOCIATED-R...item417196c4c6) off of ebay for 12-15 dollars add the new motor mount and thats it. You will need your spur and pinion of choice, but thats all.

Or the other AE option is the AE conversion kit on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Associated-8...item5d3aca7c26 it has the old style motor mount. The new style motor mount is beter.

For those of you who run the tekno v4 kit, do you guys have any issues with the rear chassis brace like the stock setup
I know that when I bash hard with my rc8t, my rear plastic chassis brace breaks
Aluminum ones bend so that's a no go
I want to go with the tekno conversion because of the better layout, larger battery tray, etc but is the losi chassis brace on the tekno kit a little more robust (even though its a bit smaller) or is the chassis also sturdier than the stocker therefor reducing chassis flex?
Some insight would be awesome

Thanks ramctd. Good tip...

What's the "new" style motor mount? Not the stock RC8.2e part(also on auction)?

Yup the Losi Eight Rear brace will fit on the Tekno V4 . I did need to file it down though so it was layout flat on the chassis where the screws go into it. Seemed to make the handling a little better and yes the Losi Eight plastic brace holds up pretty good.

The main reason why i used the Alum brace is because it felt like there was a little to much flex with the Plastic Tekno Rear brace.

Yes the RC8.2e two piece motor mount is the new one and you can find them on ebay auction every week. They still go for two much, but cheaper than amain or tower.
