Oh... the track was tight early on in the day, so i ran bronze rear spring, outer shock positions on tower AND arm. Front was silver spring, in on arm and out on tower. It jumped beautifully and gave me plenty of turn in for the first qually. It sucked ass in the main tho. LOL

Silver rear spring with a tire change would have been the ticket... along with leaving my ESC/motor changes for practice day.

I drove an MBX6 nitro truggy and was sad at how crappy my 8T felt in comparison.

It was my first time at that track, and i got TQ and finished well... but if i had my electric setup in that nitro truck... i really think i coulda broke the track record with ease... i missed it by 3/10ths.

Out came the Dremel tool and i ordered some more FRP. The 8T is undergoing a transformation...

I also tried 7/5/3 in the diffs with less power... and was happier with the feel. I still need to sort out the ESC settings, but its a work in progress. Hopefully what i do here works with the 8B as well...

Kyosho, Mugen, and Losi are 15mm bore shocks. Associated and Hot Bodies use 16mm bore shocks.

I haven't tried it, but my guess is that the 15mm shock springs would be tight and not work well with Associated, but I have interchanged several of the parts (including spirngs) between Hot Bodies and Associated shocks.

Ok im getting confused with the RC8Tce manuel on the tuning . Well it says with the rear shocks mounted on the outside of the arms will give you less side bite but more predictble when the traction breaks sounds right on that . But less side bite than having the shock mounted in the inside of the rear arms how can that be

Sidebite is generated through chassis roll. Shocks out on the arm decreases chassis roll, and decreases side bite. Inside on the arm is the opposite.

Raising the inner rear camber link, or lowering the outside rear camber link increases camber gain and adds sidebite... but there is a balance between chassis roll generated through shock position and/or camber link position. You cant really use one to excessively compensate for the other...
