But does the servo hold (strength ) when you let go the steering wheel thats the important thing.
Oh yea 4s lipos are crazy man on a truggy !

In the grass at high speed it seems to lose steering (not to mention if i goose the throttle she will do a flip!), while trying to remain smooth and keep all four on the ground. You can see the wheels are bouncing around even though i have the wheel partially turned (like a long gradual high speed sweeper). Im not sure if its the servo, or the servo saver doing that.
I just rebuilt the entire truck so the servo saver works smoothly and is adjusted per the manual. My local track has considerably less bite than grass... so it might not be an issue.
I gotta say this RX8 running a close version of Randy Pike's setup is pretty effing amazing. Smooth and easy to modulate the corners... and OMG tons of TQ!!
I think i need better batteries... again... lol. These 2s 45c Trinity packs are puffing up a lil bit after only 3 runs. I made a custom Y harness and used Deans plugs and 12ga Wet Noodle. The speedo never got past 3 LEDs for temp and the motor was warm but not uncomfortable to touch after i dumped the packs. Took about 12 minutes.

to make up to 14.8v

Hey Fellas just bought a used rc8e it is the factory team edition with a gGrid motor mount, and have only basic knowledge of the lipo system...
Is there any sticky threads or places to learn about the brushless and lipo systems?
Suggest some setups for me if you will. I will just be fun running for the most part. My brother inlaw has a track to play on and a dirt bike track that is mainly sand to have fun...
Looking for The KV info and what cells... I want longer run times and some speed but dont need it to be blistering fast either... At the moment the cheaper the better...

Ive settled on kit 6 hole pistons front and rear and black spring front with 35wt and bronze spring rear 35wt. Kit shock positions. Its decent on throttle and keeps the rear from squatting so much allowing me a little more on power steering.
My 257TG Savox servo is doing great for steering duties so far...

Hey guys I am look at getting the tenshock 1/8 6 pole 1850kv would that run on the 6800 70c 4s lipos or should I get the 2200kv one it's running on out side 1/8 track the car is a rc8t ce tekno v4

2 degrees rear toe, 2 degrees rear squat
-1.5 degrees front camber, -2 degrees rear camber (upper hingepin hole on rear hub, outer link hole on rear hub, middle hole rear tower)
black front, silver rear springs (or silver front, bronze rear if the track has the grip)
35wt oil front
30wt oil rear
slightly below arms level front
bones level rear
still 7/10/3 but gonna put a diff together with 5 in the front to compare
I know there is a lot more to a setup than this but these are the big things i changed today (over the kit setup). The front drops its nose like a 2wd buggy over jumps by barely lifting the throttle... turns in beautifully off power (but i think the 5k diff oil will be perfect) and plants but doesnt excessively squat when you roll on the throttle from one corner to the next. Its really easy to maintain corner speed and a smooth radiused corner... and compound jumps are cake.
Maybe its me being used to 1/10... but this thing has gobs of traction (as long as there isnt any fluff... thats tire/insert choice too, i had blue IBeams with blue molded inserts today), and is EASY to drive. 20 minutes on the wheel feels like 5 minutes in 1/10 2wd buggy.
