I am running stock set up and have had no problem at all with mine runs great. Only thing is I need help to get more run time I can run for 18 mins with 50/14 and kershaw 1800 kv with tekin rx8 and 8000 batteries I want to get atleast 25 minutes, but the longer the better, right now the motor and esc are cool. 4to5 leds on esc and motor less than easily less than 150

I am running setup from CE's manual for my RC8Te - so far so good. Leaving gearing at 16/50. I just bought a pair of Turnigy 5200 2s 30C hardcase lipos, going to try those with 16/46 when I get the batteries. Because everybody say 4s is the "sweet spot" for the Mamba Monster, I'm just going to try for myself to prove it. Right now I'm 6s (Zippy 5800 30C 3s), and it's a little fast for me when at full throttle...every time I hit full throttle the tires seem wanting to explode. I like 6s, it's fast and fun -- still controllable *for me*, but puts more temp. on the esc/motor. If the 4s is not a drastic decrease in speed, I might go with 4s. I get about 28mins with my 3s 5800 zippys.

The Tekin setup looks really nice, but a bit more pricy. Even the program link is like 30 bucks. But if I have a chance, I will try the Tekin for sure - perhaps the RX8 with 2250kv motor setup.

I just picked up a ft rc8t and am throwing an e conversion in it. I have a mamba monster esc going in it and I also have a couple year old barely used neu motor. It is the black can version before the castle merge. It is a 2550. Any thoughts on using it in truggy?

I'm in the same boat as your. I think I'm going to stick a CC 1600KV motor in mine.

Hey guys, I have a RC8TE CE with a 50t spur. I am going to be running a Teking 2000kv truggy motor in it. Can anyone recommend pinion gears for this set up? I'm thinking of getting 17-19 tooth pinions. Please advise, thanks...

14-17 should be better..
you will end up with probably a 16t as your final gear.

The 2200 on 4s geared with a 15 or 16t is a great setup. Motor has plenty of torque and temps stay low.

The 2650 may get a little hot in this truck. It doesn't have the torque of the 2200. Even in my buggy, the 2650 ran a little hot on 4s on bigger 1/8 tracks. The 2650 seems best for buggies on smaller tracks on 3s.

Default A couple ???s

My front and rear left side cv bone had been bent due to sliding to a wall. My question is are the front and rear cv bone the same part # and do they sell the cover(boot) for the rear cv by itself. Can someone leave me part #s please. My computer can't open any doc or pdf files, so I can't check online manuals. Thx in advance.

If I have both RC8Be and RC8T, can I swap the parts and turn them into RC8B and RC8Te or am I missing anything?

I just got a great deal on here for an rc8t, I was wondering what is a good setup to have fun bashing and possibly racing in the near future that won't break the bank.......

Motor/esc - Senored or sensorless? what kv as well?
Servo - what speed and torque should I go with and what brand?
Tires - Indoor clay track, and possibly outdoor dirt track?

I was looking into this motor/esc, anyone have this and pros or cons to it? Thanks:
