As Long as I'm talking batery packs - would 2 2S 6000 packs be equal to 1 4S 6000, or does one have an advantage over the other?
right now most of the guys are running a 2 2s packs and yes a 1 4s 6000 pack is the same as 2 2s 6000 packs. im running a dual battery set-up cause at my track i need to run a 20 min main

For you guys that are running 2 packs in the back, are you starting with an E, or T chassis?
I know that someone mentioned there was alot more room on the T chassis, but are you running a conversion kit, or did you just bolt a motor mount to the chassis. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, as the only conversion kit I know is the Tekno, which changes the whole chassis.

the chassis is the same for the t n te. cause if i really wanted to i can convert it into a nitro with no problem. well besides getting everything for a nitro. there are a couple of conversion kit but most of the r a single 4s n up battery setup. i modded mine to do a dual battery setup using the ae conversion kit. what u have to do is turn around the motor mount n use a small spur gear.

Is the battery area on the chassis wide enough to hold 2 5000mah LiPos.

Hello everyone, I just finished my RC8Te build and I have a question. I ended up with some crazy postive camber. Anyone else expirience this or did I just screw up somewhere? Just thought i would ask before I go adjusting everything or hacking off some of the turnbuckle lengths.

The rears should be no issues.

The front, you have to move the upper arm link from the inner most hole on the hub to the outer one. I think it was with the case with early RC8Te kits. Associated just doesn't get it right in their manuals the first time around. Geometry was all off on my early SC10 build too.

What battery area are you referring too? Also are you using 4s or 2s batts. The stock battery tray is built for either 2 2s batts or 1 4s batt. You can easily mount 2 4s batts on each side of the center drive train (per pics that people have provided). plenty of room.

I was able to mount my ESC and RX on the outside of the steering servo. Made a custom carbon fiber plate and then mounted the electronics on it. All the wiring is under the tray. I will post some pics when I get back home from vacation next week. Last 2 things I need to do are run my wires to the battery packs and wire up the motor.

That's right the rear is fine. I think I got something messed the more I look at It. The left front has about 2 degrees positive camber while the right is off the guage with over 5 degrees. I am using the factory team steering blocks and not sure if they could be causing an issue.

Finally got it converted to a 2 pack setup. Wanted to go with std. battery trays w/ straps, by my LHS wanted $30 each for them & I seen these old RC10 battery cups hanging on the wall for $5 each. It works great for std. size 2S packs, but I was hoping to run my 2 Venom 8000mah packs for the mains & they are too tall for these battery cups. Oh well, maybe I can come up with a cheap mod before I have to brake down & spend the $60 on the Tekno trays.
