I found a set of RC8T's on ebay for $44, think I will get them and just buy the 90mm steering turnbuckles separate.
Hey Joe order them from A-Main hobbies here is a link to them. When you get them take the 2 steering turnbuckles out and call Lunford and tell them you will be mailing them to them for exchange for the 90mm and it will not cost you a dime but the shipping. Thats what I did and they had them to me in a week after I shiped them back..

If you use the complete Tekno kit, you don't need any adapter plates (I assume you're referring to the center diff spacer?). Regardless, the Tekno kit comes complete.
If you, or anyone else, is interested, I have a 16T and 18T Tekno long shank pinions for sale. The 18T is brand new and the 16T has 3 runs. I no longer have a Tekno conversion, so don't really need the pinions.
I also have a brand new Tekno 42mm motor mount for sale with a fan that bolts right on if you want that too. PM me if interested.

Hmm...well, I have the V3 complete kit coming in too, but their site says if I use their long shank pinion, then I need the motor plate spacers. I ordered them anyways, just hope I didn't waste $10. I ordered a 12T pinion. I'll be running a 2650kv motor on 4S (I know, I know.... but its what I have now and I'll pay close attention to temps.)

Anyways, does anyone have any setup sheets from the pro-drivers? I'm really curious what everyone is running for diff oil and shock oil setup.

Hi guys,

I have question regarding piniong gear for RC8Te. I want to buy new pinions, but I'm a bit confused with Mod and Pitch. For what do I need to care, Mod only?

E.g. will this pinion work:
Robinson Racing 5mm Bore Extra Hard Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear (15T)[RRP1215]
Extra Hard Steel 5m/m Bore (1.0 module) Brushless Motor Pinions. One 4x4 m/m set screw included. These pinions mate with most 1/8 scale nitro spur gears.

I expect I need Mod 1 pinion, but not sure about Pitch (if I need to care about it at all). Thank you.

I'm using it with Tekin RX8 combo.

Mod 1 pinions have no pitch. U're good to go with the one you indicated.

Just my 2 cents but take a look at the Associated 8th scale pinions. They work great thats all I use I have 14-16 tooth and that covers just about any size track you my come acrossed.

I have yet to come acrossed any Team set ups for the RC8Te.

Here is what Iam running and works realy good for my driving style. Just remember set up is just 30% and drivers skills is 70% of the trucks performance..

Over all set up= Box stock set up after building (with small tweeks)
Front diff oil= 7000
Center diff oil=10000
Rear diff oil=5000
Shock oil all around 35wt
Rear camber 0 deg with upper camber link in the most inner hole on the rear hubs and center hole on the shock tower camber mount location

Hope this help with a starting set up..

They mount the same way as if you were mounting them on the stock shock tower..

Default Hex pin came out, why?

Has anyone had a problem with loosing the hex pin that holds the wheel hex on? The hex pin is held in place by a clip and set screw. The clip is in place and the gap on the clip was turned away from the pin hole. So, I don't know how the pin came out?
