stick to the directions from the manufacture. most lipos are 1c or 1 amp per 1000mah then some newer lipos you can charge 2 or 3c. so just stick with what the manu tells you to do

Default Losi 14.8v 5000mAh Hard case Lipo

I have a Losi 14.8v 5000mAh Hard case Lipo and I'm charging it at 5000mAh if I want to charge it at a lower rate do I turn down the mAh and it will charge at a lower rate and charge fully?

Yes, you can lower the charge rate, and it will still charge fully... It will take longer, and there's really no point to it... But you can do it.

Thanks. The manufacturer says its extends the life of the battery.

I have time when I charge my batterys so I'm not worried about slow charging.

Charging at 1C shouldn't harm the batteries or shorten their life span.

What did they tell you to charge at, in that case?

They just say to charge every now and then at a lower rate to extend the life of the battery.

Danny just posted a couple of weeks ago that it was safe to charge the SMC's at 3c
