That's a really dangerous way to run your heli. Just stick to a hover for your first few cycles. For cars I would take it easy, cars really don't stress lipos the way heli and aircraft can. Keep the run to about half the time you normally would run them for and try and keep from doing too many full throttle speed runs the first few outings.

On high quality packs you will notice a performance gain after the first few cycles.

I don't break in my packs. I just charge em and run 'em.

Just keep the packs balanced and try to avoid hitting the LVC when possible. I have found hitting LVC a lot seems to hurt the longevity of the pack, particularly if you are going with the cheapo zippy packs. They really start getting out of balance and a bad cell if you drain them down to the LVC.

If you just run your packs to about 80% discharged and keep them balanced, they should last you a long time with weekly use, especially enerland cell based packs.

I didn't do anything special to my packs and they seem just fine. I just watch the cutoff and try not to get anywere close to it.
