Default Firestorm Flux Motiv Programming

Recently got the E-firestorm flux, was all good till I tried to access the programming mode. Before you guys say anything, YES my throttle point calibration has been done correctly and successfully. I was under the impression it was exactly the same as the Sidewinder in all aspects.

Following the Castle Creation instruction PDF, holding the full throttle, plug in batt, turn on ESC, wait for 4 rings, wait for another 4 rings. At this point you would expect 2 beeps, a pause and repeat, and I should be in programming mode, in a sidewinder..... However this leads me to only Auto-Lipo setting, as described in the with the Flux Instruction booklet included with the truck. In the booklet it in no way describes how to access the other programmable functions, other than buying the castle link.

So has HPi locked out manual programming via TX? Or is there something about the Flux that varies from the sidewinder when it comes to programming mode?

I had the same issue and wrote to HPI... their reply below....

"You can only program the ESC with your computer but you need to get the castle link. Click on link to check it out.
