Default Has Anyone tried this speed control?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVAF3&P=7

Well I burnt out my LRP sphere yesterday and my gtb in a 30 min span. Well anyways I thought it be a good time to try something different. What you guys think about this speed control? Quality? Overall? Thanks!!

Before you purchase a new ESC, I would figure out why you're burning them up. Just a thought before you go and set more money on fire.

ffejrobins33 is right, ask yourself why these ESC's failed? Is it a BEC failure? Bad servo causing it to go out? What vehicle is it in, gearing, motor temps at time of failures. Those were some pretty good ESC's you toasted, find out why. If it were me I'd send the Novak back to them for replacement. Novak usually has one back to you in 2 weeks time, or ask for express shipping if you need it fast. LRP could be sent in to, but my last few took 2+ months to get them back.

Well the reason I burned up the Shpere is because I was rushing to make my race and I put the plugs in my lipo backwards, then i fried my gtb because I was rushing to solder everything together and I think the motor wires were touching making that burn up. Would that be a reason a speed control would fry cause of motor wires touching. I was very stupid in both cases and it was all because I was rushing. Very very stupid

Just a observation... that esc is sensor-less not sensored like your lrp or gtb. If you race super stock or stock you will need sensored.

Also the on road threads have get info on esc's.. the new Orion Sensored just came out and the NEW Speed Passion 2.0 came out and the customer service through Schumacher USA is second to none. I have 3 speed passion esc's and all have ran flawlessly.

Someone who has it at my track says its both sensored and sensorless. Not to sound like a nub, but what makes something sensored and sensorless. Is it that wire from the motor. If thats it theres a slot for that wire to go into.

Yes, that is what makes it sensored. Thats why its called a sensor wire. But Nick, seriously, I gave you the receipts to send all the stuff back.....once you get them both back you will be good as new.

hey that esc is more or less a Shpere so its good to go. Tom shields has it. Also tom had to rewire the whole thing to work with his b4 so keep that in mind.

The only reason why Tom had to rewire it is because he cut the lengths of his wires so they would fit the Orion 4800 Li-Po perfectly and neighbor lent him a 3800 and the polarity of the terminals was switched compared to the 4800 so he had to make his wire longer.

nick2765,i have run these for a couple of races lately and i really like these.i have been running mine on the 3rd profile and these things are so smooth i have run the lrp's these are great since you don't have to mess with the capacitor i have not gotten the box to be able to setup the drag brake and drive frequences yet but would like to try it.you won't be disappointed if you get one.

Not to start some online battle or anything lol but I was there the day tom took it out of the box the wires would not reach the rear of the motor even after rotating the can. As for the battery you are correct that is what went down last night. But whatever the speedo is good.
