New Unimog Project

As some of you know I got my new Mog bodies from the UK, and I just got my first installment of CR-01 parts. Basically the plan is to put the Mog body on the CR-01 like Joe16 did on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/ajjcs25), but after looking it over it appears that with a little work the truck could just as easily be converted into a crawler without the Mog frame.

In the last pic I've tried to show that this truck has a similar structure to the CR-01 side frames under it for the suspension attachment. I think that it would actually be possible to attach the CR-01 frames by drilling a few holes, and to actually attach all of the suspension components without the use of the aluminum frame rails. Of course, I figured this out after I got the rails, but they were cheap!

I basically have most of the cR-01 understructure, frame, axles, etc, and the trannies are on the way. I'm still undecided as whether to go brushless, or not. The EzRun brushless systems on Ebay are aweful tempting for the price:

I'm thinking maybe 1 low turn, and 1 high turn so I get the best of both worlds???
