Default Tower Hobbies Slow?

I ordered some parts from Tower on Monday. I am in Arizona, they are in Nevada.

I ordered early on Monday and my order didn't ship out until today. That's seems pretty slow to me to take 4 days to even ship an item.

I got my hobbycity order from HK in a week.

Anyone else have an experience like this?

i did have a experience with them like this it took them 2weeks just to ship out an item i ordered it wasnt even a big box it was a wheel for my starter box!! i emailed them about their crappy shipping and told them that if they didnt improve it that they would lose alot of business.

I've ordered from them many times... once it took about 5 days to get to me here in California.. but usually I get it in 1 or 2 days if I order early enough in the day.

I order from them fairly often and it takes them at LEAST 3 days to SHIP my order.

I started ordering from stormer hobbies and they ship the same day if I order early enough. Much better!

I order from Tower all the time, usually 2-3 times a month. Yes, it would seem lately they are a little slower to ship things. Now when you go to your order information it says please give 2 days for packaging and shipping. I'm betting they have a skeleton crew in the warehouse now due to the economy. They also are out of Champaign, IL not Navada let someone else posted, they do have a warehouse in Navada, but most shipments will come from IL. I will still do business with them since as of lately, I've been getting killer coupons from them like $60 off a $300 purchase. My advice is if you really need a item really fast you have to choose Priority mail, or the UPS overnight services.

On my past 5 orders or so, 4 of them have been from Reno, NV. And 1 from Champaign, IL.

The first two orders were done right before the holidays and it was shipped same day or next day. Super fast! I usually got it in two days since I live in Cali.

But the last three orders have been after the holidays and it has taken them forever to process my orders. It would usually take another 2-3 days until it actually leaves the facility. I agree the economy is taking a toll on the hobby industry and it is showing. Tower has probably cut/reduced head count and I noticed I have been getting too much spam mail from Tower on coupons (but hey, it worked, I bought so much stuff lately!)

I used to order from Towerhobbies all the time and I'd always get priority mail and have my stuff in 3 day's or less but they got slow awhile ago and I've been using Stormerhobbies or Amain and get my stuff way faster than if I ordered from Tower.

If they support us. One of the tracks I race at closes at about the time we race...and they charge 100% full retail for everything. No thanks...I'm not paying $25 for a set of 2wd buggy fronts.

all I know is it usually takes tower 7-10 days to get my stuff to me and I could drive to their ILL. warehouse in about 4 hours, but a-main has always gotten my stuff to me in like 3-4 days and they are clear on the west coast.

I don't have a local track, the closest one is almost 2hrs. away. I have a local hobby store but he doesn't stock hardly anything and doesn't do any racing so why should give my money to him. When I do go race I always buy something even if I don't need it to help support their track.

They used to have bad ass shipping! Seems that they have slowed since they added the charge to hurry the order... Like 4 bucks or so more for them to do their damn job is not cool... I forgot the charge amount, but my last order was... MY LAST ORDER! Plus, it was more enticing when I lived in Cali and didn't have to pay IL. sales tax. Now i'm back in IL...
