Has anybody had an issue with leaks between the ring gear and case? I thought the leaks were more commonly associated with the x-ring/outdrive areas.

Have had leaks with the xring, but not the area between the ring gear and case. I saw waaaayyy back in the thread a guy said he stopped his leaks by using kyosho orings so going to give them a try.

[QUOTE=ambo;7850489]Hey guys, a little help here...I'm running a TekinRSPro with a 5.5 BL motor and using a 16T pinion on stock spur gear. My motor temps at 120+deg F but my ESC is at 155+degF. Could you guide me what's the best baseline set-up for the ESC? Many thanks. [/QUOTE

i ran randys 6.5 (208 software) set up with my 5.5, std timing with 21 pinion outdoors on a medium grass/astro track with no problem not sure on temps but it was showing 3 lights on the esc for temp

Interesting! I will wait and see if I have any issues before changing anything. I have some of the Kyosho o-rings laying around since I used to run the Inferno spur on my Losi. The o-rings provided with my kit looked pretty serious! Like a split-groove design and fit VERY well. We shall see . . .

I forgot about that little "How-to" they had posted. Should have that page up as well as the Oople article when building. Well, looks like I will have one built per kit instructions and one using Green Slime!

Yes for a 5.5 it would be a bit much...Im runnin randys 6,5 setup and its dope. But with a 20t pinion this thing was on fire! My Motor was at 140 and esc was real hot to the point that one of the battery wires unsoldered itself. I was told by a team driver at the track to go up a few teeth which is why I recommended 23 I didnt notice that he was runnin a 5,5. Im still not sure what to do my self but I will go up and see what that does first. I think the motor is struggling a bit too hard with that small pinion.

That would be nice... I think the site creator needs to add tekin because a lot of people run tekin motors and speedo's
