Either way 7.5 is still beastly fast and you can rely on gearing to make up some of that punch. I run a 7.5 on my 4.2 and I feel that's likely the limit and on my 410 the 6.5 is the limit but I'm still getting acclimated to this car. As well, I just got the new vortex wing which has a ton more surface area and I'm expecting for it to plant my rear end a bit better. Oh, and my 21 Blocks should be arriving so I'm expecting another slight improvement there. All in all I'm expecting to feel a noticeable increase in performance.
I've tried all of those things with no success, my temps were constantly climbing. I didn't spend any money on the motor, I just swapped the 7.5 from my Dex210 and I have a 17.5 ready to go in it as replacement. Now I've got a 5.5 available for sale.

Could I run a 8.5 in this buugy? Running on a small carpet track and 6.5 5.5 seems over kill. Will it work over the Teakin RS and 8.5? To Small?

Even if it is I'd just run the kit as is... I'm nearly fast enough to have to worry about having the latest and greatest. For $200 I can drive it for a year and then worry about upgrading.

symmetricon - What track in Houston do you run at? I assume you're running boost, turbo or some kind of timing with that 13.5 right?

8.5 is fine, 10.5 is also a good starting point for this buggy. Drives pretty cool but decently fast on a small track.

Watch the temps on the RS. An RS-Pro is more ideal for 4WD Buggy.

RSD Speedway, lap times range from 13-15sec based on layou. No turbo or boost. We have found having more power does not yield faster times due to the tight technical layout....
